Question:  21:16 What is the relation of this well to the events mentioned at מי מריבה? Approach:  It's possible that the need to circumvent אדום meant that the nation had almost come back to their starting point, not far from the well, just a little further up the border of כנען.

Question:  Why doesn’t אהרן have to bring his own staff to משה, as was required by the other tribal leaders? Approach: It could be simply that אהרן was close by to משה in the aftermath of the plague that ארהן had help stop. Or that, since אהרן and משה lived next to each other, the staff was easily accessed by משה.

Question:  Why are the נסכים only relevant in ארץ כנען? Approach: It might be that now that the people were doomed to live in the desert for the next 38 years, there was simply no way that they could get enough wine, flour and oil in order for the נסכים to be viable. As opposed to animals, which they seemed to have a lot of, and could reproduce. Only once they moved into ארץ כנען could they start to cultivate vines and olive groves and grow crops.

Question:  Why is משה worried that חבב won’t join the people for their journey to the promised land? And why doesn’t he join them? Approach: We can perhaps surmise that since חבב wasn't part of any of the tribes, you had just had their first journey in their new formation, it was clear that he "stuck out", and as such, might have felt as an outsider and not want to join the nation for the longer term.

Question:  6:21 what is the meaning of מלבד אשר תשיג ידו in relation to the קרבנות brought by the נזיר? Approach: it would seem that there is some sort of expectation that the נזיר would have given extra, voluntary, קרבנות, as a thanks for having successfully completing his נזירות process. And this appears to be the reference above.
