Question:  Why is the punishment for שפחה חרופה mentioned here, whereas none of the other punishments are mentioned? Approach: It would seem that this action is to be treated as a civil matter, as are all of the laws in this section of the פרשה. The requirement for a קרבן is a secondary effect, and hence why not included in the other קרבנות at the start of ויקרא.

Question:  Why the assumption that the שחיטה of a בהמה outside the משכן is for the שעירים? Approach : It would seem that such was the use of meat for consumption at the time, that it was inevitably in the context of some sort of deity worship. It's only later, in פרשת ראה, that we see the concept of eating בשר תאוה. It might also relate solely to the nature of the שחיטה and associated practices, rather than a general consumption of meat issue.

Question : How does the verse from יהושע prove that we returned to non idol worship? Approach : The whole פרק in יהושע (כד) is an encouragement for the people to commit to serving הקב"ה (exclusively) due to all of the various miracles that had been done - and the people accepting upon themselves to do so.

Question :  Why is the full ritual for the כבש אשם המצורע repeated for both the rich and poor מצורעים? Approach : Perhaps we're being taught that the procedure of the אשם, with the accompanying blood and oil עבודות are a crucial part of bringing the מצורע/מיטהר back into society; irrespective of financial standing. And hence, perhaps it's incumbent on society to help ensure that such a כבש can be purchased by providing sufficient funding.
